Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America confirm new show dates

April 8, 2021

Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America (CSI) and co-located Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America (CSH) return to Miami, Florida on 28 – 29 October, 2021.

The award-nominated event has spent the past year providing a platform and a voice for the cruise ship interiors community. Launching the instant hit webinar series Cruise Conversations, CSI helped the down-but-not-out cruise interiors industry share their stories and collaborate on finding a way forward. Now CSI is delighted to open the doors of the Miami Beach Convention Center once again, welcoming cruise interiors designers, architects, outfitters, shipyards and suppliers. CEO Toby Walters says, ‘We are delighted to bring the industry back together again’, as the community’s key players will meet for two days of networking, much-missed face-to-face meetings and the unparalleled design-focused Cruise Conversations conference.

This year CSI’s 300-plus exhibitors will be located under one roof, creating a dynamic show floor like no other. After nearly a year of online-only meetings, visitors will be able to walk around the world of cruise ship interiors, enjoying the innovation, inspiration, and essential conversation. Over at the Cruise Conversations conference stage industry leaders will be discussing the key topics of today and the future, including the role that interior design will play in the reinvigoration of the cruise industry.

Attendees will enjoy a strong programme of networking events scheduled across both days of the two-day exhibition. Among the anticipated events is the Reunion Party, a celebration of the cruise ship interiors community and a reuniting of the supply chain. VIPs, visitors and exhibitors alike will be in attendance at the on-site Cruise Ship Interiors Awards. In its second year, the popular awards ceremony will celebrate the innovation, aesthetic and design history of cruise ship interiors.

This renovation and addition unravels a chapter of ill-considered renovations to create an urban retreat for a young family on a remarkable site. By re-using more than half of the original structure and improving the home's environmental performance, the project also minimizes the 4000 SF home’s embodied carbon and ongoing carbon footprint. A front facade composed vertical and horizontal wood boards and slats, echoes the trellises and partitions, tying together the home’s public and private expressions and replacing an opaque street presence with a wood screen activated by shifting light from day to night.
