Memphis Milano Apartment

June 29, 2021

The design studio based in Madrid, Puntofilipino created the interiors of an apartment with funny and outrageous sensitivity for a couple working in the art sector.

Flooring: QuickShip A01502 Monochrome by Interface   /   Tiles: Bio-concrete by Irene Roca Moracia x LVMH   /   Wijnant Refrigerator by Officine Gullo

In order to bridge the aesthetic dichotomy between period interiors and contemporary expanse, the apartment stands out as a whimsical rebuke to the minimalist aesthetic and elegant austerity of mid-century modernism.

Flooring: QuickShip A01502 Monochrome by Interface   /   Wallpaper: Bellagio by Glamora   /   Lighting: Bonhomme fllor lamp by Atelier Areti; ØS1 Pendant by Shade Lights   /   Shelving: Jack by B&B Italia   /   Chairs: Rock by Da A Italia   /   Sofa: New York Suite by Saba Italia   /   Table: Tube by Da A Italia   /   Armchair: Digamma by Santa&Cole   /   Coffee table: Agatha 3 top by Draga&Aurel

Characterized by an eclectic sequence of colors, stretching from the walls to the metal joinery and plaster cornices, the carpets and curtains, to a harmonious selection of furniture, inspired by the Art Deco and Pop Art movements of the Memphis Group, no only for its striking primary colors, synthetic materials such as laminate and terrazzo, and crazy geometry, also for its iconoclastic cheekiness.

Ceramic floor: Mnifiesto uva positive by Ornamenta   /   Lighting: Trn ceiling lamp by Pani Jurek   /   Bed: Tappeto Volante by Flou   /   Tables: Diana by Classicon
