LOEWE Perfumes Presents “Crafted Garden” at MDF 2026

February 24, 2026

From 5 February to mid-March 2026, across three emblematic locations in Madrid — Institución Libre de Enseñanza, Plaza de Colón and FORMA — LOEWE Perfumes presents Crafted Garden, an immersive installation conceived for Madrid Design Festival 2026. The project unfolds as a sensory journey inspired by Renaissance gardens, bringing together nature, fragrance and contemporary craftsmanship in a multi-layered exploration of design and olfactory culture.

With Crafted Garden, LOEWE Perfumes translates the historical concept of the Renaissance garden, a space where art, botany and architecture coexist in harmony, into a contemporary experiential format. The installation becomes an interpretative landscape where scent operates as both narrative and material, guiding visitors through a dialogue between natural elements and crafted forms. Rather than presenting fragrance as a standalone product, the brand frames it as part of a broader design ecosystem, where composition, material research and artisanal processes are interwoven.

At the heart of the installation lies a modular landscape designed by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen for molo, composed of ultrathin paper cellular structures that evoke the delicacy of botanical manuscripts and ancient bound volumes. These sculptural forms, light yet architecturally defined, generate a porous and fluid environment that transforms the space into a living book of aromas. Visitors move through layers of paper and scent, where materiality and fragrance interact in a subtle choreography, creating an enveloping and contemplative atmosphere.

The choice of recyclable materials reinforces LOEWE Perfumes’ commitment to responsible innovation and contemporary craftsmanship. The modular system is not only visually striking but conceptually aligned with sustainable design principles, demonstrating how ephemeral architecture can coexist with environmental awareness. The installation thus becomes a spatial manifesto: a setting where sustainability, sensory research and aesthetic refinement converge.

Presented as a visionary garden, the installation evolves with each visit. Light conditions, movement and olfactory perception continually reshape the experience, encouraging audiences to explore the brand’s creative universe from an intimate and experimental perspective. Rather than offering a static exhibition, Crafted Garden proposes a dynamic landscape that responds to presence and perception.

With this proposal, LOEWE Perfumes joins Madrid Design Festival through an initiative that foregrounds the dialogue between nature, design and craftsmanship. By inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the world of scent — and in its close relationship with glassblowing artistry and contemporary creation — the brand expands the boundaries of fragrance, positioning it firmly within the cultural and material discourse of design.
