Founded by Roberto Ferrari, who could grasp the scarce digitalization of the Italian design market, Design Italy, in a very short time, has reached such a wide reputation to attract independent designers as well as well-known Italian brands.

Today Design Italy proposes itself as a source of inspiration and practical support for designers, architects and individuals, thanks to a catalogue with over 150 brands and more than 20.000 selected products that range from home decor, lighting, accessories and outdoor.

Furthermore, Design Italy aims to be the ideal partner on everything related to logistics issues and for its five-star customer care service that pampers clients through the buying process (from choosing and purchasing the product to after-sales), guaranteeing them a unique and personalized experience.

At the Salone del Mobile, Design Italy "plays at home," promoting, to the numerous national and international visitors, three companies that make research, experimentation and sustainability the cornerstones of their philosophy: Suber, Medaarch and OTQ.

Core by SUBER

Inside the space, under the aegis of Design Italy, the three companies, united by their creative capacity and innovation, will be involved in a unique setting which will see Suber with its furnishing accessories made in 'Core', a composite material, highly performing, obtained from the combination of recycled cork grain and natural resins; Medaarch will introduce to the public the new 'Mediterranea' collection, where the excellent craftsmanship skills merge with research and cutting-edge moulding methods; OTQ will exhibit Sardinian cork creations. Cork is an excellent material because its use does not damage its stem, thus keeping it alive and healthy.
