CM Studio Paris’ Duplex apartment
Passionate about history and design, John Coury and Florent Maillard decided to restructure the space of this exquisite apartment and redecorate it in a mid-18th Century style, whilst
also respecting the attributes of modern comfort. The layout and the decorative choices were delicately thought out to create an environment that is comfortable to live in while also illuminating history.
The aimof this project was to preserve the essence and poetry of a space, whilst simultaneously magnifying it, and reimagining the past yet extending towards eternity. John Coury and Florent Maillard take pleasure in creating the illusion of timelessness in the interior of a property; a feeling that each element has been in its place since the beginning of time, whilst making no concessions in terms of comfort.
“We believe decoration is the reinterpretation of a space, the relationship between a room and its dimensions, the choice of surfaces and materials, and finally the selection and positioning of objects within the space.” - CM Studio Paris
This apartments is above all an intellectual process by which the studio combines antique and decorative pieces meticulously sourced from around the world, and perfectly integrates them into atmospheric and magical interiors.
