Must to visit at Stockholm Design Week

February 5, 2019

If you are visiting Stockholm Design Week, make sure not to miss Wästberg, who will be showing new pieces in an installation on the small and stunning island of Skeppsholmen and Brdr. Krüger and Stellar Works, who will be presenting new collections.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair from Feb. 5 to 9, 2019 is full to bursting point with the latest innovations within interior design and lighting for both homes and public spaces. New products, new materials, new knowledge, new trends and new environmental and technological solutions are displayed in a both informative and inspirational manner.

- Swedish lighting brand Wästberg and architect David Chipperfield will unveil extensions to the w102 chipperfield lamp in a special exhibition in collaboration with Alessi and e15.The w102 chipperfield lamp references an archetypal personal desk lamp for home or office use and seeks to offer a fresh interpretation of the familiar on a domestic scale. The lamp is predominantly made from brass — a material commonly associated with lights, though not so widely used today. The intention was to create a simple form with a clear distinction between a base, a single arm and a lamp head. The lamp has no visible joints and minimal directional movement, without compromising its function.

- Brdr. Krüger has collaborated with long-term design partners, OEO Studio to create JARI, a signature collection of dining chairs and tables, that embody the shared cultural values of Japanese and Danish design, defined as an appreciation of traditional craftsmanship and a close connection with nature.

- Stellar Works , the first global design brand from Asia, will present furniture by Neri&Hu, Space Copenhagen, David Rockwell and Hallgeir Homstvedt at this year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, in partnership with its Scandinavian distributor, Roam. This is the first time Stellar Works has taken a stand at the Fair and it is marking its debut by presenting a selection of its most popular designs, by a roster of renowned designers.
