Pointe Living

August 30, 2020

Luigi Rosselli in collaboration with Alwill Interiors Pty Ltd has projected "Pointe", a slender and gracious residential tower near the iconic Sydney Harbour.

Shaped with rough rendered walls, curved glass balustrades and double edge concrete beams, this is LRA’s tallest residential tower overlooking Sydney Harbour Bridge. Just as a ballet dancer flawlessly perfects her craft, so have this building’s creators worked to produce a flawless ‘en pointe’ piece of architecture. It presents an exhilarating vision for crafted, contemporary living.

The entry hall with brick brise soleil is the ground for it’s eleven storeys, whilst it’s interiors with slender design and graceful curves are drenched in light and Harbour views.

All Pointe's residences provide a splendid stage for these cultured residences. Where living is an art form that is entirely in

keeping with the name of your remarkable new home.

The interiors feature a richly textured palette of neutral tones and finishes showing off organic shapes and forms that are signature to Luigi Roselli’s work. Dovetailing with Alwill Interiors overlay of warmth and use of authentic natural materials, this elegant palette is timeless, subtle yet modern and rich at the same time. Natural timbers combined with concrete detailing and bronze accents create a luxurious yet grounded and calm interior.

Fittings are modern with expressed details to layer up the interior and the use of soft lighting and tonal colour create an understated interior and base palette for any style of decorating. A deep understanding of integrating architectural forms and interior elements is the strength of unity for LRA and Alwill Interiors in this project.

Building on What's Already There As this year's LIV Hospitality Design Awards winners settle into the wider conversation, certain patterns become difficult to ignore. Properties built for warm-climate escape recur across the list. Sustainability surfaces less as a stated goal than as a working method. And several of the strongest projects are renovations rather than new builds. Read together, the winners point toward where hospitality design is heading as the year continues. Designed for the Season Several of this year's winners speak directly to the season ahead. Kona Village , on Hawaii's Big Island, reimagines an 81-acre resort around the history of Kaupulehu, led by Greg Warner and Mike McCabe of Walker Warner. The rebuilt property includes 150 traditional guest hale, a new spa, and five restaurants and bars—two of which carry over from the original resort.
