New Opening: Molteni&C Flagship Store Doha

November 5, 2023

Molteni&C has inaugurated its newest Flagship Store in Doha, demonstrating the brand’s rapid growth in the contemporary design scenario of Qatar.

Located in the heart Msheireb Downtown Doha, the new Design District is a new destination for designers, architects and anyone who wants to be inspired by the latest design trends, artistic installations or design innovations. It’s a real hub for people to meet and discuss architecture, design and the contemporary city, creating opportunities for new generations of researchers, curators and designers, a lively stage constantly animated by a calendar of events, conferences, workshops and exhibitions.

The 200 square meters Molteni&C Flagship Store stretches over two levels in a welcoming and harmonious pathway, along which Molteni&C’s proposals, created by their partnerships with the most prestigious international architecture and design studios, skillfully create an inspiring home environment. A real conception of living, that has always been related to the protagonists of the world of architecture. An idea of a cosy, reassuring and welcoming home. But constantly evolving, which Molteni&C interprets through wall systems, the protagonists of the project and part and parcel of the architecture. Great masters of present times who design cities, spaces, interiors and furnishings, such as Vincent Van Duysen, the Belgian architect and designer who has been Creative Director of the brand since 2016, Jean Nouvel, Foster + Partners, Ron Gilad, Yabu Pushelberg, Herzog & de Meuron, to name but a few. The essence of Molteni&C is also represented by iconic items of furniture belonging to the Heritage Collection. Combining natural light and the brilliance of LED, with travertine tiled floors and the warm tones of textured walls and metallic paints, the space accentuates the luxurious quality of the kitchens, bookshelves, wardrobes, sofas and furniture collections. A living area welcomes the guest into the textural path inside the store, where the Living Box and the Cleo sofa and small tables, all designed by Vincent Van Duysen, is paired with the Sutton armchair by Rodolfo Dordoni and the 505UP system by Nicola Gallizia.

The staircase connects the ground floor to the 1st floor, where a living area features pieces of Molteni&C collections: the Paul sofa, the Living Box single unit, the Elain armchairs, all designde by Van Duysen, are paired with the 45°/tavolino and the Vicino small tables, respectively designed by Ron Gilad and Nicola Gallizia. The result is a high-impact setting that showcases the Molteni&C collections in the most flattering way, creating a warm, welcoming, experiential layout.

Moving on through the space, visitors enter a kitchen display: the VVD kitchen, with Nebula Steel doors, Titan Travertine top and Thermo Oak table, and the Kitchen Columns. A composition of the Gliss Master, the wardrobe system feather in the cap of Molteni&C Night Collection, creates an elegant and sophisticated area, together with the Beauté by Rodolfo Dordoni. The Stripe carpet by Van Duysen frames the Gliss Master Island, completing the configuration of the walk-in closet. The iconic D.154.2 armchair, designed by Gio Ponti and part of the Molteni&C Heritage Collectionm, as well as the Panna Cotta coffe table, designed by Ron Gilad, complete the area.
